Abstrak :

    This study aims to describe and analyze the Tourist Response in Development of Twin Lakes Tourism Area in Solok District, seen from: 1) The response of tourists in the development of Twin Lakes tourism object, 2). The role of government in the development of Twin Lakes attractions.This type of research is qualitative. The study was conducted at Twin Lakes. Informant in this research is government of tourism office, visitor. Withdrawal of informants done by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by interview techniques, and documentation. Data analysis techniques, performed by data reduction, data display, data verification.The results of this study found that: 1) The response of tourists in the development of twin lake tourism is not well maintained in terms of cleanliness, facilities and irregular parking for the vehicle of tourists and lack of cooperation between the government, managers, and guard attractions, which sometimes do not do as they should. 2) The government's role in the development of Twin Lakes tourism object in Solok regency, plans to complete the lack of facilities such as providing garbage and parking lot for tourists vehicles, and the potential of this Twin Lake will be used as an agro tourism that is in demand by various regions, and will channel funds for the development of twin Lake tourism development.
